Japanese taupe has gained its ardent following because of its subtle use of color and innovative fabric design. At first glance, taupe color scheme may appear to be bland and subdued but upon closer examination taupe is a whole range of greyed soft colors and shades blending together. Taupe color palette can include soft creams to rich browns, subtle rose shades, soft greens and blues to rich purples, and even reds. Taupe prints take their inspiration from nature.
